The solution to guide rail corrosion is either to change the water-based cutting fluid to oily cutting oil or emulsified oil, or to replace the cutting fluid that is not particularly effective in cleaning, or to choose molybdenum-containing oil as an anti-wear raw material. CNC lathes, machining tables and guide rails often suffer from corrosion.

Since cutting fluid has good anti-rust properties, why does production equipment rust? Is there any relationship between cycles and cutting fluid? What kind of relationship is this?
The anti-rust performance of the workpiece after processing is still acceptable, so the poor anti-rust performance of the cutting fluid can basically be ruled out, and the corrosion of the guide rail directly caused by the cutting fluid can also be ruled out.
This comes down to the rail door being coated with rail oil. Guide oil is usually composed of base oil mineral oil and part of sulfur and phosphorus anti-wear agents and cutting fluids. During the circulation process, it comes into contact with the guide oil to produce part of the oil-water mixture, that is, sludge.
Oil is lighter than water. Oil absorbs most of the alkali and anti-rust components in the cutting fluid, and the action of water makes the guide rails very susceptible to oxidation and rust.
This is not the main reason for rail corrosion. The main reason is that anti-wear agents such as sulfur and phosphorus in rail oil are hydrolyzed by the main components of cutting fluid water. Sulfur and phosphorus seriously corrode steel components and are important causes of rail corrosion
